| SSDS – Super Specialty Diagnostic Station On wheels |
| |
|
| This was conceived and developed by ECIL with domain help in medical technology from Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, a super specialty hospital in Hyderabad, know-how in digital radiology from M/s US Electronics USA and band width for satellite communications from ISRO. This was developed keeping rural India in mind and to work in 'no power, power shut down, no communication network 'conditions and to also withstand country terrain. |
| |
|
| The objectives of SSDS are: |
| |
(a) Make available the scarce super specialty medical services to the common man, which otherwise are confined to a few in metros.
(b) Identify health related chronic problems before they surface and offer solutions.
(c) To bring down the cost of the medical care. |
